ABOUT SFJ's youth workshopS
Are you an aspiring actor? Ever wondered what it would be like to work with a professional theatre company?
Jove’s rehearsal rooms are known for celebrating the joy of great acting and great storytelling, along with the essential disciplines of character detail, rigour, and creativity. Since 2010, Sport for Jove has been opening its doors to young performers through our Second Age Project. As a participant in our workshops, you will experience first-hand what it is like to be a SFJ-actor, extending your range, uncovering tension, and playing imaginatively with your peers.

testimonials
“Participating in Sport for Jove’s (Youth Program) gave me the skills
and connections to successfully audition for my first professional production. The classes sharpened my acting, reading, and confidence, preparing me to play Juliet in a mainstage production with Sport for Jove and later in their feature film, Venus & Adonis. The incredible teachers at Jove supported me, believed in me, and gave me every tool I needed to succeed. The environment they create makes students safe to experiment, fail gloriously, improve enormously, and make lasting friendships. Signing up was the best decision I ever made.”
Claudia Elbourne (Second Age Project 2018-2020)
"Sport for Jove's Youth Program is the best place for any young actor to begin their dream. During my time with the company, I learnt what it means to work in an ensemble and all the essential skills for an actor. My training led me perform in my first professional Shakespeare production, several commercials, and a TV show."
Dinitha Senevirathne (Second Age Project 2015-2020)
"Sport for Jove's workshop was incredible and helped create a confidence within me I didn't know I had. Over the course of four-days, I developed skills in stage combat, text analysis and performance psychology — thanks Sport for Jove!"
