Veronique Bennett | Biography

Veronique is a lighting designer as well as a set and costume designer.

In 2017, Veronique completed the Bachelor of Fine Art, Technical Theatre and Stage Management at NIDA.  She continued her studies at NIDA in the Masters of Fine Art, Design for Performance in 2018, that she will complete with her thesis which examines light in relation to costume design, in February 2019. 

Her professional lighting design work includes The Wolves (Belvoir); The Smallest Hour (Griffin Theatre Company); Howie the Rookie, Permission to Spin, Toby Schmitz Live, The Wolves (Old Fitz Theatre); A Girl is a Half Formed Thing (Kings Cross Theatre); Stupid Fucking Bird (New Theatre); and Nosferatu (Old 505). Set and lighting design for Venus in Fur and costume and lighting design for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown at NIDA.

In 2018, Veronique was associate lighting designer on Cry Baby at the Hayes and assistant lighting designer Metamorphosis, Apocalypse Theatre, Visiting Hours, KXT and Ariodante, The Apollo Opera Collective.

In February 2019 travelled throughout Europe for an eight-week field trip studying European scenographers.
