Thomas Pidd | Biography

Thomas has been working professionally and training around Australia for over 15 years, starting in Tasmania where he grew up. Thomas then migrated to WA where he continued training, completing several short courses including the Total Theatre course with Annie Stainer, while working in the community and professional industry.

Thomas graduated from NIDA and then continued to travel around Australia, keeping up the balance of training and work. Credits include Red Racing Hood (Terrapin Puppet Theatre, 2015), Snugglepot and Cuddlepie (CDP and Monkey Baa, 2016), world premiere of playwright and director Adam Rapp’s “Wolf in the River” (NIDA 2014), Violent Extremism and Other Adult Party Games (Ain’t It Fun Theatre, 2017), Frida and Derek (Blue Cow Theatre, 2017)

Thomas has also worked in creative and managerial roles for Sydney Festival, The Village Festival, Secret Garden Festival, Ten Days on the Island and Dark Mofo, Falls Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Adelaide Fringe and Adelaide Festival.

Thomas’ interest in Physical Theatre, Circus and Dance saw him receiving the Keith Bain Scholarship for Movement in 2014 and he has since trained with Stalker Theatre and Legs On the Wall.
