Pip Dracakis | Biography

Classically trained in voice and violin, Pip is a Sydney-based actor and musician. She is a founding member of Sport for Jove and has performed in several Summer Festival productions, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream and As You Like It (Dir: Damien Ryan, 2009-11), as well as The Merchant of Venice at the Seymour Centre (Dir: Richard Cottrell, 2015). Other theatre credits include engagements with STC, Kings X Theatre, NIDA, ATYP, Small and Loud (Bondi Fest), The Corinthian Project and The Sonnet Project. Pip also composes, arranges and records music for theatre and film/TV. She collaborated with Lies, Lies and Propaganda on Bicycle (Dir: Michael Dean, 2016) in sold-out seasons at The Adelaide Fringe Festival and The Old Fitz. Pip graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium with a Bachelor of Music (Voice) in 2013. She has performed in numerous concert halls such as the Sydney Opera House and City Recital Hall, and has worked with various chamber ensembles, including The Song Company and The Choir of St James’, with whom she toured internationally to Europe and represented Australia at ANZAC Day Dawn Services in Gallipoli (2017, 2018). Pip's acting training includes specialised courses at L'Ecole Philippe Gaulier (Paris), NIDA, Forum-artium (Germany), Bell Shakespeare, The Hub Studio and The Actor’s Station.
