Nigel Poulton | Biography

Nigel is an award-winning, internationally renowned fight director, weapon and movement specialist, stunt performer and actor. In theatre, opera and ballet, Nigel works as a fight and movement director with companies such as The Metropolitan Opera, Washington Opera, Opera Australia, New York City Ballet, Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre, Bell Shakespeare, Belvoir and La Boite. Nigel’s film and television work includes: Pirates of the Carribean V, Deadline Gallipoli, The Water Diviner, The Bourne Legacy, Vikingdom, Winter’s Tale, The Good Wife, Boardwalk Empire,  Sopranos, Law & Order: Criminal Intent. This year, Nigel’s stage work includes: Spartacus (The Australian Ballet); Romeo and Juliet (New York City Ballet); Antony and Cleopatra and Romeo and Juliet (Bell Shakespeare); The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui; Harp in the South; Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Sydney Theatre Company); Carmen, Tosca (Opera Australia); Sami in Paradise; The Sugar House (Belvoir); Jasper Jones(Queensland Theatre) and Prizefighter (La Boite).
