Michael Pigott | Biography

Michael Pigott is an actor, director, writer and educator.  His acting work includes: Macbeth, All’s Well That Ends Well and Twelfth Night (Sport for Jove); Cyrano de Bergerac (Sydney Theatre Company); Seeing Unseen, The Twelfth Dawn, Ride (505 Productions); Woyzeck (Belvoir- B Sharp).  His directing work includes: Do Something Else (Flightpath/Old 505); The Westlands (Weatherboard Theatre); Kinski and I (Winner- Best Theatre Sydney Fringe 2014); Tell Me Again (Old 505); The Young Tycoons (Eternity Playhouse/Darlinghurst Theatre); The Dysfunkshonalz (Darlinghurst Theatre); Once Under A Sky (Old Fitz / Brisbane Festival); La La Land (Darlinghurst Theatre); Pugilist Specialist (Darlinghurst Theatre); The Golden Ass (Belvoir-B Sharp); Meet the Candidates (Darlinghurst Theatre); Some Voices (The Lock Up), King Lear and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Harlos Productions). As an educator he has taught classes, workshops and run programs for Belvoir, Milk Crate Theatre, Macquarie University, The Sydney Theatre School and Shopfront Theatre for Young People. He currently teaches theatre studies at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
