Kit Bennett | Biography

Kit Bennett graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art’s inaugural Foundation Acting course in 2008 and also holds a Bachelor of Communication from Griffith University. Predominantly working as an actor, she has now turned her hand to writing, with her first play in the final draft stages and is just starting out on a path to directing. Kit will continue to work as an Assistant Director for Subtlenuance Theatre Company in early 2016. As an actress she has worked between London and Sydney appearing as Rosalind in As you Like it, Una in Blackbird and in Nina Raine’s Tiger Country at the Hampstead Theatre. She has also worked on multiple shows for Subtlenuance Theatre Company and with Bakehouse Theatre co. Kit regularly toured with an improvisation troupe to Edinburgh Festival and around the UK, winning TimeOut’s critic choice award in 2010. She also played the role of Julie Rigg in Southern Star’s ‘Power Games: The Packer - Murdoch Story’.
