Jay James-Moody | Biography

Jay James-Moody is an award-winning actor, director, writer and producer. He is the creator and Artistic Director of acclaimed boutique company Squabbalogic Independent Music Theatre and was a co-founder of Sydney’s prestigious Hayes Theatre Company.

He is the co-author of two musicals, Good Omens (with Vicki Larnach and Jim Hare) based on the best-selling novel by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman, and The Dismissal (with Blake Erickson and Laura Murphy) about the last days of the Whitlam government. Other writing credits include Broadway Reimagined and Straight From The Hart

As performer Jay’s recent credits include his sell-out solo show Herringbone, West Side Story for Handa Opera on the Harbour, A Cheery Soul for Sydney Theatre Company, She Loves Me for Hayes Theatre Co (Sydney Theatre Award Nomination - Best Supporting Actor in a Musical, GLUG Award - Best Supporting Actor in a Musical) and The Book of Mormon (Original Australian Company).
