James Haxby | Biography

James is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (MA Acting), and the Victorian College of the Arts (BA Acting).

He most recently completed the Australian tour of Puffs: Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic.

Other credits include: The Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V and As You Like It (Pop-Up Globe, Melbourne & Sydney), The Devils and A Midsummer Night's Dream (RCSSD), Quick Death / Slow Love (La Mama, Melbourne), The Rivers of China (TheatreWorks), The Legend of King O'Malley (La Mama and Seymour Centre, Sydney). While at VCA: Eddie Goes to Poetry City, The Tempest, Brief Encounter, Five Kinds of Silence, Too Young for Ghosts, The Cherry Orchard. 

For Bar'd Work (of which he is co-Artistic Director), James directed Much Ado About Nothing, and has also worked as an Assistant Director for Red Stitch Actor's Theatre on Middletown. 

He is thrilled to be collaborating with Sport for Jove.
