Felicity Jurd | Biography

A graduate of the Atlantic Theater Company in New York, Felicity also studied at atyp in Sydney and LAMDA in London.

She has recently returned to Sydney after working in London for nine years where she worked regularly as a voice over artist in all genres of recording for a wide range of clients.

Screen credits include; Land of Hope, A Country Practice, Home & Away, Doctor Doctor, Green Means Stop (Rob Knox Award), Hunger (NYC Film Fest) & Dust (dir: Christian Willis).

Theatre credits include; Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (Darlinghurst Theatre), Giovianus in The Lady’s Tragedy (dir: John Baxter), Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (dir: Jenny Lipman), The Vegemite Tales (London, West End), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (London), Chambres (B Sharp, dir: Laurie Foell) and Playing with Fire (London, dir: Anna Ostergren). She is best known for her performance of May in I May Fly (Sydney, London, New York) which she also wrote and produced.

Felicity has worked extensively as a coach on a variety of productions incl; Dance & Acting coach to the young Lion Cubs on The Lion King, AU (2004- 2005). She also taught open Modern Jazz classes at London Central School of Ballet up until becoming a mum and has returned to teaching acting and voice at various performing arts colleges across Sydney.

Directing credits include; Distance to Now (short film), Baby with the Bathwater (Tap Gallery 2000), and AD to Marshall Napier on Freak Winds (2006, NYC, Off Broadway)
