Emma White | Biography

Emma White is a set and costume designer that has recently completed her MFA (Design for Performance) at NIDA. Emma also has a BFA (Sculpture/Installation) from UNSW Art and Design. Recently, Emma worked in London assisting designer Rajha Shakiry on ‘Nine Night’ for The National Theatre and ‘Richard II’ at Shakespeare’s Globe as a recipient of a Frederick J Gibson Bequest. As a set and costume designer, her theatre credits include ‘Stay Happy Keep Smiling’ and ‘Venus In Fur’ for NIDA, ‘The Other Side of 25’ at the Old 505 Theatre, ‘Daisy Moon Was Born This Way’ for Q Theatre Company and ‘The Library of Babel’ at Sydney Fringe. 

Emma has worked in costume and art departments in film and television productions for the ABC, Giant Dwarf Productions, Emerald Films, Droving Productions and Dollhouse Pictures. As a Designer, Art Director and Art/Wardrobe Department Assistant, Emma has worked for commercial clients such as Sony Music, McDonalds, Screenwise and Sydney Opera House.
