Deborah Galanos | Biography

Deborah Galanos, a NIDA graduate, has worked with STC, Ensemble, Belvoir St, various independent and commercial theatre companies, including touring companies . Deborah has worked with network and production companies both locally and internationally, in television, short and feature films.  Television : Camp, (NBC); Redfern Now, Rake, My Place, Children’s Hospital, Police Rescue, (ABC); All Saints, A Country Practice, Home & Away, G.P., Neighbours, Murder Call Film: Cavity, Inside Out, The Premonition, Razzle Dazzle, Balls, No Worries, Under The Windscreen, Boys From the Bush. Theatre : Unfinished Works, Dropped, The House Of Ramon Iglesia, Misterman, The God Committee, Greek Tragedy, Mums the Word, Hotel Hibiscus, The Shearston Shift, The Heartbreak Kid, The Touch, Suddenly Last Summer, The Mandrake, Elegies, The Vagina Monologues, Boswell for the Defence, 40-Lounge Café. Deborah was nominated for a 2015 Sydney Theatre Critics award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in an Independent Production for her role of ‘Dolores’ in The House Of Ramon Iglesia at the Old Fitz Theatre. Deborah will play Martha in ‘Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?’ for theatrongroup at The Greek Theatre in December. Antigone is Deborah’s first production with Sport For Jove.
